Travis Kelce Jokes About How Much Money He’s Spending for Family, Friends at Super Bowl 2024: ‘I’m on Top of Those Finances’ Travis Kelce Jokes About Money to Have Family at Super Bowl 2024:
No One is Immune to the Pricey Cost of the 2024 Super Bowl — Not Even the Players:
“I’m not really doing much different other than just counting how much money I’m spending on this damn Super Bowl for family and friends to come,” Travis Kelce told his brother, Jason Kelce, in Thursday’s episode of their “New Heights Podcast” of his preparations for the big game this weekend.
“Just making sure I’m on top of those finances and losing all this money,” the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, who reportedly has a net worth of $30 million, joked.
The Cost of the Super Bowl — And Its VIP Suites — Has Been a Popular Topic Over the Last Few Weeks as Family Members of Players Have Been Voicing How Expensive This Year’s Game Seems to Be:
The mother of San Francisco 49ers player Christian McCaffrey said no one in her family could even afford to sit in a VIP suite because they cost millions of dollars.
“We looked into a suite, and none of us can afford it,” Lisa McCaffrey admitted on her “Your Mom” podcast. “Not even Christian, money bags over there — nor money bags Olivia [Culpo, his fiancée].
“So, we are not in a suite. I’ll tell you that right now,” she added.
Lisa revealed that she was able to “negotiate” a reserved area with eight tickets to watch her son and his team take on the Chiefs.
With astronomical pricing, Lisa said her Nfl star son’s “best friends” would watch him play at a nearby bar and meet up with him later.

Travis’ mother, Donna Kelce, also shared that she didn’t think she’d be sitting in a suite for the same reason.
“You can understand that the boxes in Vegas are multimillion dollars, so I have a feeling I’m not in a box,” Donna said on the “Today” show Wednesday.
“I have a feeling I’m in the stands, so far as I know I’m in the stands with everybody else because it is a pricey Super Bowl.”
Travis and Swift, both 34, have been dating since last summer.
Donna Kelce Teases NFL Offseason Plans with Jason and Travis: ‘There’ll Be Some Traveling’:
Donna Kelce is ready for a vacation!
After Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs compete in Super Bowl Lviii this Sunday, the NFL star’s mom, Donna Kelce, tells PEOPLE she’s preparing for a “relaxing” offseason with her family.
“A lot of us are doing a lot of different things,” says Donna, who was thrilled to enjoy some recent downtime at Disney World in Orlando with her son, Jason Kelce, his wife, Kylie Kelce, and their three daughters while Jason, 36, participated in the NFL Pro Bowl.
“We were just fortunate enough to be at Disney for the Pro Bowl, and we got to do that as a family, though Travis obviously couldn’t attend,” says Donna, an annual pass holder at both Universal Studios and Disney World.
“He’s a little busy right now,” she joked as Travis, 34, preps for Sunday’s big game.
Once Travis is officially in his offseason, Donna says there’ll be more opportunities for family time. “I have a feeling there’ll be some traveling, and probably some podcasts or what have you in Philadelphia,” she says, referring to her sons’ podcast, New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce, presented by Wave Sports & Entertainment.
“I will be traveling and going to various events, but everything is kind of on hold until we find out what happens this weekend,” Donna says before she travels to Las Vegas on Thursday.
But the Kelce family will also make time to give back during their break from football. “Probably the biggest thing will be to do some charity work,” says Donna.
“They’re both involved in that. We always go to Sea Isle every year, and that’s always fun, for the Autism Challenge,” Donna adds, shining light on the annual fundraiser supporting the Eagles Autism Foundation.
When the mother of two Nfl stars finds time for herself this offseason, Donna says she’d like to spend her time at the gym and getting her steps in. “I just like to walk as much as I possibly can, that’s the important thing, and I just want to enjoy myself.”
Donna recently told PEOPLE she’s planning to “take a step back” at the Super Bowl this year after last year’s highly-anticipated matchup between her two sons, dubbed the “Kelce Bowl,” catapulted her into the spotlight.
“This year I’m going to take a step back to enjoy it,” Donna said. “Last year, I needed to be with the media event,” she added. “I get to enjoy it this time.”
Specifically, she said she’d like to enjoy “some of the shows, some of the different plays and music” that Las Vegas has to offer.

This year, Donna is raising awareness around waste and encouraging Nfl fans to be mindful of excess leftovers from viewing parties through her partnership with Ziploc as the brand’s Chief Leftovers Officer.
“I think it’s important for guests and also for hosts to bring their own Ziploc bags because there’s so much waste right now with food. There were 18 million pounds of it after big game watch parties last year, so that’s kind of crazy. Can you imagine 290 football fields of pizza that’s thrown away after a party like that?”
