Severance Season 2: Adam Scott and Ben Stiller Celebrate Return to Work
After Months-Long Strike Delay, Production Resumes
Ben Stiller and Adam Scott are celebrating the return to work on the second season of Severance, the popular Apple TV+ series. Production on the show was delayed due to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, but it is now officially underway.
Stiller, who executive produces and directs the series, shared a black-and-white photo on Instagram of Scott running, with the caption: “Back to work.”
Scott, who stars as Mark Scout in the show, also shared the photo on Instagram, writing, “Lovely being back at the office.”
Fans of the show rejoiced at the News, with many commenting on Stiller’s and Scott’s posts. “Well hallelujah!,” commented actress Alison Brie. “YES!!!!!!!” wrote actor Jack Quaid.
Severance is a science fiction thriller series that follows a group of employees at Lumon Industries, a company that has developed a procedure that surgically divides their memories between their work and personal lives. The show received critical acclaim for its first season, and it was nominated for 14 Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Drama Series and Best Writing for a Drama Series.
The second season of Severance will see the return of Scott, as well as Patricia Arquette, John Turturro, Britt Lower, Zach Cherry, Dichen Lachman, Jen Tullock, Tramell Tillman, Michael Chernus, and Christopher Walken. New cast members for the second season include Gwendoline Christie, Bob Balaban, Merritt Wever, Alia Shawkat, Robby Benson, Stefano Carannante, Ólafur Darri Ólafsson, and John Noble.
The release date for the second season of Severance has not yet been announced, but it is expected to premiere sometime in 2023.
