Marvel Movies: Pedro Pascal‘s Casting in Fantastic Four Revealed, then Mysteriously Disappears
New Marvel Movies: A Biography Reportedly Revealed Pedro Pascal‘s Casting in Fantastic Four, Now it Mysteriously Doesn’t
Marvel fans were abuzz with excitement when rumors emerged that Pedro Pascal, known for his roles in “The Mandalorian” and “The Last of Us,” would be joining the cast of the upcoming Fantastic Four movie.
However, the news took a mysterious turn when the casting announcement, which was initially reported by Comic Book Resources (CBR), was later removed from their website.
Fantastic Four News: The Vanished Casting Announcement
According to a biography posted by the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) Foundation, Pedro Pascal was set to “soon begin production” on the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) entry.
The original posting reportedly stated, “Pascal recently wrapped production on Ridley Scott’s highly anticipated GLADIATOR 2 and will soon begin production on Marvel Studios‘ Fantastic Four.”
However, the information has mysteriously disappeared from the biography, leaving fans and media outlets wondering about the validity of the casting news.
Speculation and Errors: The Pedro Pascal and Fantastic Four Saga
Many speculate that the uploading of Pascal‘s casting news may have been a mistake, leading to its removal from the biography.
Adding to the confusion, the 90-minute Pedro Pascal Career Retrospective announcement, which was scheduled for Tuesday, no longer contains any mention of the Fantastic Four casting.
The SAG-AFTRA website now reads, “Pascal recently wrapped production on Ridley Scott’s highly anticipated GLADIATOR 2. Most recently, Pascal starred opposite Bella Ramsey in HBO’s THE LAST OF US, based off of the PlayStation and Naughty Dog game of the same name.”
Attempts to access the original announcement link result in either a biography without the Fantastic Four content or an HTTP ERROR 503, further fueling the mystery.
Materialists: Pedro Pascal‘s Upcoming Romantic Comedy
While the Fantastic Four casting news remains uncertain, Pascal is confirmed to be circling the A24 romantic comedy, “Materialists.”
The film, directed by Celine Song, follows a high-end matchmaker who gets involved with a wealthy man.
Chris Evans (Captain America) and Dakota Johnson (Madame Web) are also in talks to join the cast.
The production of “Materialists” is expected to begin in May 2023, adding to Pascal‘s diverse acting portfolio.
Fantastic Four Release Date: May 2, 2025
The highly anticipated Fantastic Four movie, originally scheduled for release on November 8, 2023, has been pushed back to May 2, 2025.
Fans eagerly await the official casting announcements and further details about the upcoming Marvel film.
