General Hospital Welcomes Back William Lipton for a Brief Visit
General Hospital fans are in for a treat next week when a familiar face returns to Port Charles. William Lipton, who played Cameron Webber on the soap opera from 2018 to 2023, will reprise his role for a brief visit.
Cameron Webber Returns to Port Charles
Cameron is back in Port Charles because his best friend Spencer (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) is presumed dead. In the January 31 episode of the ABC soap, Spencer fell off a boat, leaving fans to believe he drowned. The fate of Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) was left up in the air, too.
Spencer‘s Fate Revealed
While fans may be worried about Spencer‘s fate, it’s likely that he’s still alive. In real life, Chavez is on a leave of absence from General Hospital to play Lyle Menendez in the upcoming Netflix limited series Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story. It’s not yet clear when Chavez will return to GH.
Esme Prince Leaving Port Charles
Unfortunately, Esme Prince will not be returning to General Hospital. Avery Pohl, who plays Esme, is leaving the soap for good.
Cameron Webber‘s Return
While fans may be sad to see Esme go, they can take comfort in the fact that Cameron is back in Port Charles. Lipton grew up on the Soap Opera, just like his Emmy-winning colleague Eden McCoy. Lipton took over the role of Cameron in 2018.
William Lipton‘s Previous Departure
When Lipton stepped away from GH in 2023, the soap said on social media that “Cameron will be back before you know it!”
Where to Watch
To catch Cameron Webber‘s return to General Hospital, tune in to ABC on weekdays at 3:00 PM EST. You can also watch the show on Hulu or Disney+.
