Ariana DeBose has spoken out against a joke made at her expense during the Critics’ Choice Awards that lumped her in with a group of “actors who also think that they are singers.”
“No I didn’t find it funny. Lol,” DeBose wrote on Instagram Stories.
The joke occurred during the award ceremony when presenters Bella Ramsey and Anthony Ramos presented the category for Best Song.

Ariana DeBose did not take kindly to a joke made about her at the Critics’ Choice Awards.
During the ceremony, presenters Bella Ramsey and Anthony Ramos introduced the nominees for Best Song by saying that the songs were “delivered by some of the most famous voices in the music industry.”
They then went on to name Billie Eilish, Lenny Kravitz, and Dua Lipa.
Ramsey then continued, “Then there are the actors who also think that they are singers.” He then named Jack Black, DeBose, and Ryan Gosling.
The camera cut to DeBose, who appeared to be taken aback by the joke. She laughed, but it was clear that she was not amused.
